Simone Biles

Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.) is considered to be one of the top athletes in sports. The 2016 Olympics were held at Rio de Janeiro and Biles became one of the U.S.'s only female gymnast to be awarded four gold medals. She also claimed the world title for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles together with her siblings Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were adopted as children by the grandparents of Houston. Simone was first drawn to gymnastics while she was only six years old. Her coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went for an excursion. Biles took home a gold medal for floor exercise and a bronze in vault during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the top level of gymnastics in the year 2011. Within less than two years, she became the best in her sport. Biles's consistent, exuberant character and her high level of challenge in her four events -vault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercises -- helped to set her apart.
