Chaka Khan

Chaka who is also known as Queen of Funk as she is sometimes referred to she was an American record producer. Through her nearly fifty years of career, Chaka Khan was awarded 10 Grammys. Also, she has been ranked as the 65th most successful dancing artist in history according to Billboard magazine. Her birthplace was in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at an early age by her mother. She began her career by being in different bands. As time went on she joined of the band Rufus. Together with the group, she released her first album in her 20s. A year later, the group received their debut Grammy. A few years later, she released her first album as solo artist. Through the years she's released other albums such as "Echoes Of An Era", "The Woman I am" and one song dubbed "Funk This". Her most well-known accomplishments include her charitable work. Chaka Khan Foundation was established to support children living in poverty families and people with autism. Khan has also been a protracted actress.
